The Priority Center

About

The mission of The Priority Center is to deliver life-changing programs to assist people in crisis by giving them the support necessary to end the generational cycle of trauma - including child abuse and neglect. The goal of our programs is to meet specific community needs and to work with each family's or individual's unique needs to serve those in need, reach those who we engage in our work, and teach those who we cannot directly serve.

Through the generosity of supporters like you, The Priority Center served over 6,000 children and families throughout Orange County. Our incredible staff provided nearly 13,000 home and telehealth visits to 4,936 individuals/families this past year. During our 2021-2022 fiscal year, 359 low-income children improved school readiness and received critical developmental health screenings, 558 parents strengthened social connections and improved their understanding of developmental milestones and learned about health and nutrition, all helping to give their children a solid academic start. Through our CAST program, 814 children who were victims of abuse or observed serious crimes received forensic interviews, medical exams and crisis intervention therapy. Through our privately-funded Caonnected Care Program, 243 new clients were served and received mental health support. Additionally, our Basic Needs program delivered more than 8,000 goods to 941 families in need. However, there are still many more children and families who need our help.
